Published in January 2025, “Across The Gulf” is Elizabeth Elliott’s 8th book of poetry.

Written during a profound moment of change in Elliott’s life – losing her husband of 30 years and moving away from the Florida Keys after living there for many years – Across The Gulf invites readers into an eclectic range of topics. Climate change, migration, and the challenges of AI are just three of the world’s pressing issues that she explores in this book. One reader called it “a moving, at times thrilling, dive into the most important things that we humans are grappling with right now.”

In spite of new freedoms and new therapies, love between men and women is not easy.

“Love And Its Interruptions” is Elizabeth Elliott’s 5th book of poetry. It explores the theme of love in three parts: “First Love First Happiness,” “In The Schools Of Love,” and “Love And Its Interruptions.”

18 of the poems were culled from earlier books. 39 poems are new or have not been published.

Elizabeth introduces a new concept called “just a word”. Reading “just a word” you’ll find insights written by the author from behind the scenes for each poem.

These poems illuminate our innocence and our temptations, our gratitude and appreciation, and our freedom to find love and joy with the healing power of our spirit and our psyche. The transformative power of love is explored from every angle.
